I've just realised that my treatment to others is just a one-sided affair. No one else care. Not at all. I've tried my best to do whatever i can to cover up my mistakes. And i've been let down over and over again

Listen,

WHEN I DON'T COMPLAIN IT DOESN'T MEAN THAT I DO NOT FEEL ANYTHING.

Do you know how it hurts me when it seems that i'm only one concerned? DO YOU?

I don't care anymore. I DON'T FUCKING CARE ANYMORE. Bunch of let-downers.

Results of sec3 combination.
Well today is the day where we get our posting results for sec3.

BELIEVE IT OR NOT..

I'm posted to triple science

Like wtf right!!! When i saw my results i couldn't even believe. I mean like, ME LEH. How can i even make it to triple science.

Despite asking almost 10 teachers and everyone of them told me to take triple science because of the environment, competition, and whatever..

I'm still going to follow my gut feel and appeal to Bio and Chem!!!

Am i awesome or what!

I don't care if anyone is going to mock at me or say that i have made a stupid choice. I personally HATE physics and it's the subject which made me so stressed up for the science exam that i got sick.

Firstly, I want to be an accountant or something related to the Business industry cos the work is challenging and full of changes. I don't need to talk physics for that

Secondly, physics is the subject that really pulled me down. I had As in the first semester. After physics, I had a B3 overall.

Thirdly, I'm already taking A maths and E maths, which obviously needs calculation. I don't want another subject that needs calculation!!

Fourth, I'm not even eligible for triple science in the first place!!! I admit, i missed it by a few marks and the teacher's probably thought that i had 'potential' since i'm the top 40 in the level or something. But it still means i'm not eligible. This class is supposed to be those who are naturally smart/very hardworking. I'm none! (Okay lah, i'm hardworking, but still.)

Fifth, I will have very few friends there!

Six, my character and my lifestyle will definitely change because of triple science because of the competition and the people there. I'm not saying that they aren't friendly or anything. They are just not my type, being so hardworking, studious and everything. Look at the batch of sec4s this year. They are only released at around 4?! And this year's system changed. We will be learning sec3 and sec4s things all squashed in 1 and a half years. HOW THE HELL CAN I MANAGE?! Plus there are already, 5 (still counting) pr0jects waiting for my class next year.

Seven, my level position is 32, and there's only 30 people in my class. This obviously means that i will be the last few in class right? Who the hell wants to be the last few in class!?

Yeah, that just makes up the main reasons why I don't want to be in the triple science class. Please tell me what you think and give me some advice. Thanks.

Back?
Yay i'm finally back to blogging again! I know, i've shut down my blog WAYY too long and most of you have already given up reading my blog.

Frankly speaking, exams were long over and i had more than enough rest, but i still didn't want to update my blog. Aha.

Okay fine i'm going to update it now.

Noisy freaks. :)

UPDATE: I just posted 9 posts!! Have fun reading haha. They are all below :)

Trip to Hortpart
Went to Hortpark near Buona Vista today. It's for top science students haha. I actually felt very out of place, since everyone there are apparent brainiacs while i went even though i didn't take the science paper. Ugh.

Anyways, had lotsa fun there. There were lots of booths for games and everything, but i was so preoccupied that i forgot my camera haha.

After all the fun games and activities, we went to the park to play!!

Photos below.

I signed on a petition to encourage people to save the environment!

Their Hydroponic corner

Interesting looking tree :)

I love the colours!!

Yikes! Centipede alert!

Playground. Looks very unnatural because my phone's camera lousy.

Familiar portable toilets (last seen in NDP haha)

Brainy people who didn't have a childhood LOL.

And they all went up! Very scary leh haha.

I don't now what this is, but looks good!

After all the fun, everyone chionged to the NEWater booth for water LOL.

On our way to the exit, we saw this showroom/ It looks really nice and homey.

Yeap and out we go..

Saw this beautiful swing.

Route to nowhere.

All the prizes, free gifts that i got haha! 3 pens, 5 notebooks, 2 post-its, 3 bookmarks, 1 file, 1 keychain, 1 packet of tissue paper, 1 bottle of hand sanitiser, 1 packet of antiseptic wipes, 2 card holders. HAHAHA.

Okay it was really fun. Bye.

Lunch at Sakura International Buffet
Had lunch today at Sakura International Buffet, Orchard's branch.

This branch is soooo much better than the once in Jurong West. You can go there since there are more seats, more variety of food and better service as compared to Jurong West.

But my all-time favouraite Jap restaurant shall be Japanese Hokkaido Buffet :)

photos below!

Started off with huge slices of raw Salmon!

..See what i mean.

Shark fin's soup. Yum!

Pathetic slices of beef. They taste not too bad though. A little too thin and portion too little.

Pregnant fish

Random fried thing, potato wedges and tako yaki balls. Yum!

Pizza + more salmon + sushi with cheese, ham, pineapple and cucumber

Pathetic portion of Kailan vegetable. Too salty for my liking ):

Clams i think.

Barbequed prawns!

Siew Mai, etc

Chawanmushi. A little dry, but not too bad

I forgot what this is..

More tako yaki balls with mayonnaise!!

Fish egg sushi. The fish eggs were awesome. They are like a ball of fish oil which bursts when you bite on them. Really yummy. I hate those small ones that you eat also not shiok to chew on (LOL)

More salmon. HEE

Bread pudding + tiny slices of oreo and marble cheesecake
Bread pudding = yuck and too dry
Oreo cheesecake = so-so
Marble cheesecake = YUM!

Ate a few scoops of ice-cream and that's about it.

Sakura International Buffet charges each person $24++. I personally find Japanese Hokkaido Restaurant more worth it though.

Yeah and that's about it. Bye!!

Lunch at Eighteen Chefs!
After school, went to Eighteen Chefs for lunch. Was very excited cos i've heard good reviews of the restaurant.

I was very excited cos the bake rice is in a 'D.I.Y' style. As in, you choose your own sauce, topping or whether you want spaghetti or rice.

I ordered Baked rice with Spicy tomato sauce and chicken sausages.

And the Ice Lemon Tea came!!

Yummy.

Sauces corner. Very special. Is it me or does this remind me of udders? haha.

Mayonnaise. We were all so hungry that we were gorging on the mayonnaise haha.

Flavourings

Finally, after almost half an hour, our food came!!

My baked rice!!

Mmm.. Look at the thick layer of cheese!!

After a minute.. Haha, almost halk gone cos it's really yummy and i was real hungry.

Yay i finished it! I think i took less than 15 minutes.

Longgggggggggg receipt.

Overall, i was really disappointed with the service cos it was really really slow. And there were lots of waiters which looks very unhappy. I don't know. I don't really feel comfortable eating there.

Well, it's cheap and yummy what else do you expect. I recommend this restaurant for people who just want to eat and get done with cos it's pretty noisy there and cramp.

Yep and that's all. Byee.

Lunch at Japanese Hokkaido Restaurant!
Had lunch in Japanese Hokkaido Restaurant. I was really glad that the standard did not drop! But there's was one thing that i didn't like, that is their increase in customers! Haha. Not so frequent in serving us already haha.

Started off with a bowl of refreshing miso soup.

..and steamed Chawanmushi

Sashimi plate!

M-m-m-menu

Tepan beef. This is actually my favourite dish in this restaurant. It is really fragrant, and soft. When you chew on it, all the juice of the beef will literally burst in your mouth and you can taste how fresh and tender the beef is. It is not like those rubbery type of beef where you have to chew for super long and not be able to swallow it. Yum!

And my all-time favourite, raw salmon belly :D

Skewed bacon and pregnant fish.

Spider Avocado Roll. Uber yums!! There's softshell crab, mayonnaise, avocado and the orange thing in there. Very yums.

Fried udon!! Omg this is one of my favourites too! It's not too oily, and it's cooked to perfection. It's really chewy and it melts in your mouth. Yummy!

Baked potato. Yum

Tempura and other vegetable which consist of sweet potato, ladyfinger, brinjal and tapioca. Very yummy.

Fried scallops

Spider California roll

More skewed bacon

Forgot-what-chicken

Tepan Chicken!

I-forgot-what-this-sushi-is-called. And please ignore the finger.(t's not mine btw)

Stir-fried kimchi. Yucks.

More tempura

Pathetic mushrooms. HAHA!!

When my dad ordered, he's like "Two of this mushroom". Then the waiter was like stunned(O_O) and asked if he's sure. My dad nodded. Then he walked off, seemingly about to burst into laughter.

When the dish came, we thought it was barbequed scallop that was a fail, but we flipped and found out that it was the mushrooms!! DAMN FUNNY MAN. The mushrooms were so tiny, about the size of the teaspoon. My mum and I laughed like mad.

cold toufu

Radish salad. Very sour! Don't ask why we ate a salad so late.

Yeah and that's about it! I really love the food in this restaurant. It's only around $26.90++ per person, and look at the variety and the quality of the food! And the sefvice is really very good. The food came promptly and the environment was good, not very noisy.

I highly recommend this place :)

Ace Day + Teacher's Day celebration
Today was Ace Day and Teacher's Day.

Ace Day was the same as last year, Each class competing by counting the total number of jumps on the skipping rope in 4 rounds. Our class didn't win. Bah. I hopped for the class kay!

Had Teacher's Day celebration after that. After all that skipping action, the fatigue accumulated is no joke okay! All i wanted to do is to gorge on the food but i couldn't since the teacher's weren't around yet. RESISTTT.

Anyway, it was a success! All the hard work put in was worth it :)

Below are the photos~

Preparation before teacher's arrive..

Yummy chicken wingzxc

Refreshments

Working hard to make balloon, not!

Woah!

LOL LOOKS SO WRONG.

Mr Niu wasn't here yet, Mdm Ashikin has to wait outside.

Finally, the teacher's entered, greeted by our 'Grand Opening' of cheers and claps. haha

Fake champagne? LOL.

Struggling

Still struggling

Recieving their 'certificate'

Happy teachers!

Mr niu digging for chicken wings. HAHA.

AND THE PARTY BEGINSSSSS

Cute!

Yumzxc

Who's sneaky hand is this?!

Ah, it's Mr Niu..

*eats sneakily*

*OH YUMZ*

*AH SHIT I'M CAUGHT*

And Mr Niu's awesome 'speech' time..

(all not serious. HAHA)

Yeah and that's all. Happy Teacher's Day to all teachers! :)

Mycofarm Mushroom Farm!
Today, went to Lim Chu Kang's mushroom farm for our geography learning journey.

Photos below (:

Very kampong-ish

WASSAT!!!

Briefing. I wasn't paying attention. I was busy snapping away. Heehee.

O_O

Very nice colours. My camera rocks!

The mushroom storage 'rooms'

Ready to go in?

I forgot what this mushroom is called.

I wonder what's in the bags.. Some decomposed thing. :/

Explanation of the mushroom. Everyone's not paying attention cos there's so many flies around and the smell is not very pleasant.

AND WHAT'S WITH THE DEAD INSECTS!!!

"walao talk talk talk. I want to GET OUT!!!" LOL. :X

Weird machine towering on top of me.

Second storage room for Shitake mushrooms! Was greeted with a very stinky smell and more flies.

It's so furry and soft. Gave me goosebumps.

Another wonder what is inside.

Can someone tell me what that is!? (cringes)

Strange device

YAY TIME TO EAT THE MUSHROOMS!

Add some oil and shallots

Put in the shitake

Pouring very generously.

After adding some oyster sauce

Putting in the white mushrooms.

And done!

Everyone wants to try! It's really yummy i swear. Despite how it came from, it was still very yummy.

hahaha

Mushrooms. Not cheap you know!

Can someone tell me why there's two 'Simply Delicious'? -_-

Lotsa Awards!

Even more!

And it's time to go back to school!

Had to walk on the tiny path to the bus. VERY SCARY.

Yeah and that's about it. Byebye :)

Chinatown learning journey
Back from Chinatown learning journey. Walked for nearly 4 hours w/o resting. Exhausted. Photos below.

Found in Chinatown! Believe it or not!

Lotsa construction works going on.

Exhausted classmate leaning on random car. HAHA.

Okay that's all. I actually have tons of other random photos, but lazy to upload. If you're asking why i took so many photos, that's cos i was so bored and tired and that was what seems to be my 'motivation' to walk on? Haha i don't know.

Okay bye.

Lunch at Lao Pa Sat!
Had lunch in Lao Pa Sat (老巴刹) today.

Photos below.

Fermented Toufu. Very smelly. My dad forced me to eat one and i literally spat it out. HEEHEE.

Seaweed. Cool and refreshing

Yummy steamed rice. Was very excited because of the special shape. It looks taste like glutinous rice.

Delicious Braised Pork rice. It really taste very good. The meat is very tender and soft, and the juice of the meat stays there and the gravy smells so goooood. This is a MUST EAT.

Interesting jug of beer. My dad drinks it, duh.

Look at the variety of desserts OMG!

Mango Sunrise. Ice with Mango topping, cubes of mango and completed with a scoop of very yummy mango ice-cream. Mmm..

I love how they differentiate different parts of the area with 'Streets'. Feels so olden!

Actually, i like to eat in area like this. The food is great and cheap, the environment is clean. The portions of food are considered large as compared to restaurants, and you can have a very filling and satisfying(is it how it should be used?) meal under $40, while in restaurant, you usually have to pay over $60.

I love this place. It's recommended for people who like different varieties of food :)

The Superb NDP Experience!
In case some of you slow people still don't know, i'm part of NDP'09, which has been a really awesome experience! For me, at least.

I know, I was pissed with the timing and everything, but I really made good friends and had a lot of fun in the parade.(except the part that you have to stand still for super long)

I feel really honoured to be a part of the contingent. It's like, WOW. National Day Parade leh! And while standing on the parade grounds, you can see the sea of patriotic Singaporeans waving there flags and cheers when the Presidents comes. (I know i shouldn't be look everywhere but I can't help it!)

The best is, I finally know the hardship and the 'painful side' of the beautiful national parade. Before, I was always like, "oh look at the contingents marching, so beautiful! So, can we proceed to something else?" Honestly. But now, having gone for training since March, I know how tough and the efforts needed to make the whole show a success. You can see a lot of people working hard to perfection, and ensuring that they are very neat and everything. You can see how tanned everyone has become because of the Sun. You can see ho happy and relieved people are after the parade. You can see people cheering on you and knowing that there are people who care foe you. I culd go on forever, really.

Initially, I joined NDP for the sake of a Service badge. But after many practices, I find myself going because I really love being part of the contingent. I love being part of the 80 over girls, I love being part of the thousands of people performing in this parade. I started to take pride in polishing my boots and making my uniform neat. It gives me a sense of satisfaction when I know that I'm ready for the parade.

Totally don't regret joining NDP'09, it has sharpened my drills, boosted my stamina and I had fun and made friends! You should totally join the parade if you're choosen. You won't regret it!

Opening of indoor sports hall + Sports Fiesta
Today was the celebration of National Day, opening of indoor sports hall and sports fiesta!!

Started off with School's NDP. I was in the first row which had to belok (which is important lah). And everyone was like "Hweeling you cannot screw up okay", "Hweeling you sure you can?", "Hweeling we are the G.O.H, we have to do well", etc. SUPER STRESSED.

Well, i think GB and BB did a good job on being the G.O.H. :)

Changed out, and went to the hall to watch the badminton tournament.

Halfway, everyone was told to gather at the indoor sport's hall for the opening ceremony. Mr Giam(ex-principal) came back to school!! Awesomezxc.

After the opening, went to the canteen cos i was hungry. And the fried rice, buns, burgers, cake, drinks, everything was at 44cents to celebrate the nation's birthday! So patriotic!

Free Sports Drink. Yuck.

The PTA's booth.

And we all rushed down to watch our class' netball team vs 2F.

..And we lost. But we still got Silver anyway. Good job girls!!

Was super bored and help Miss Regina Lim. Saw this in the AVA room! Haha.

Yah, and that marks the end of the day.

):
I apologise for the lack of updates nowadays! I simply can't find time to do some interesting things to blog about.

Common tests is gonna start next week, and after today, I may not even be able to update my blog!

NE show 2 is tomorrow, and I'm actually quite excited for it, but at the same time quite pissed off with the long duration. I'm not blaming the NDP committee or anything, but I really don't like reaching home at 12am with my parents glaring at me.

Sigh. Nowadays, i can't find the drive to do anything. Seriously. I'm pretty sensitive these days. Usually when i find something i don't like or not satisfied with, I'll just voice it out and discuss with others. But nowadays, I'm just too not bothered that I'll just keep quiet. When people asked if I'm okay, I'll just put on a fake smile and say that there's nothing wrong me.

Teenagers way of dealing with stress, perhaps?

I'm not like this because of family problems or friendship problems, or having a crush but the guy doesn't like me back. I'm not about to break down or anything. To be perfectly honest, i don't even know what's wrong with me.

Sigh.

Lunch at Paulaner Bräuhaus!
Had lunch in Paulaner Bräuhaus, and it was really really yummy.

Paulaner Bräuhaus is located in a unique three-storey glass building at Time² @ Millenia Walk, and it's a German-based restaurant, offering freshly-brewed German beer and traditional Bavarian cuisine.

Paulaner Bräuhaus is split into 2 sections, the restaurant and the bar.

The Bar

For people who just wants to drink beer and have some ginger food to go with it. Has built-in LED lights on the ceiling illuminate the bar below, creating a slightly different mood each time the colour of the lights subtly change. There are like really tall chairs, which is super cool. (i know i shouldn't be fantasizing over this, but still.)

The Restaurant

The restaurant serves food like Homemade cheese spätzle and asparagus, succulent Grilled pork knuckle, crispy, golden-brown Wiener Schnitzel with cranberry cherry sauce served with sautéed potatoes and luscious traditional desserts of German mini Gugelhupf among others. And on Sunday, it's becomes an arena for buffet! And there's a corner where kids can go and play. That area has loads of interesting toys, and a person hired to do balloon sculptures or paint faces, hands, legs, etc. (i have painted my hand once) She's a really patient and nice lady!

The Microbrewery

PAULANER beer is brewed according to the strictest and oldest regulations of brewing as set out in "The German Law of Purity", which was issued in Bavaria in 1516 by Duke Wilhelm.

Photos from http://www.paulaner.com.sg/index.html

Okay enough of the introduction. Time for photos!!

The way they serve Ice Lemon Tea is really cool. They will give you tea with a piece of lemon, and will give you a little jug of sugar syrup!!

Their famous beer!! My dad only drinks the Munich Dark beer. :O

Start to makan!! This are my appetizers!!
(clockwise direction) Salmon, soy sauce with wasabi, some strange piece of meat which is cold and feels raw, mashed potato and the sour vegetables (i have no idea what it's called). And in the middle, are RAW PRAWNS. I didn't dare to eat it, so gave it to my dad. :)

My momma's boring starters. Although the cheese looks nice, but it actually not very nice. Or maybe it's cos i don't know how to appreciate different kinds of cheese.

Drank this potato soup, and it's really very yummy! It has a really rich potato taste and it's very creamy, and it contains some potato bits, skin and onions. Super yummy!

This yummy soup contained by this strange looking bowl. But the design is great, since i'll have to hold the portion that goes in, and it's not warm when you hold it and it maintains the heat of the soup!

My dad, who doesn't eat appetizers, started on the main dishes already.
(clockwise direction) Variety of sausages, sour vegetables(i don't know what's called), and 2 other weird things that i don't know.

Crispy Pork skin (or something).
This is like the best thing in the restaurant!! On the top, is a layer of very crispy skin, and below it is a layer of fat. Then below it, the meat is like in layers!! I have never eaten anything like this before!! (okay lah i did, pork ribs. :D)

See what i mean? Super yummy! Totally didn't care about the fat content and kept eating it.

After eating a lot more food, finally it's time for deserts!

Pancake with cherry sauce of soemthing. Super nice!! Just that it's mostly burnt. -_-

They have a chocolate fountain at the deserts area!!

The bread area. I didn't eat any :X

Took another pancake, this time, not burnt. :)
The taste of the pancake is really special, it taste like cookies in a pancake cover!

White chocolate mousse. Super nice!! I had 3 of these. My momma told me it's made from egg white, so it's quite healthy. :)

Apple Strudel (i think) Too sweet for my liking. But it is not too bad. :)

Had Mövenpick ice-cream from Switzerland. The ice cream available were Yam, Strawberry, Vanilla and Chocolate. I must say that it's not as nice as Anderson, Udders and other ice cream. But their vanilla ice cream is really nice! Their chocolate ice cream is too chocolatey for me, and the yam is just average. The strawberry wasn't too bad, but i wasn't a lover of strawberry ice cream. :)

After finish eating everything, paid up and left. Total bill was about $130. Totally worth it!

Overall, i was very pleased with the service. When we finished our food and left our dirty plates at the side of the table, within 3 minutes the plates will be gone. And they will constantly refill the Ice Lemon Tea, and when my dad wanted a new mug of beer, they gave it too him in also less than 3 minutes! And for the food booth, the containers were never empty as they are contanstly topping up the food to make sure there's enough to go round.

If you're interested, you can visit the website: http://www.paulaner.com.sg/index.html

Sunday brunch is available from 11:30am – 2:30pm.
Adults pay $33++ with free flow soft drinks or $43++ with free flow of freshly brewed Paulaner beer.
Children from 6 - 11 years old pay according to their age and those under 5 dine for free.

Had a really nice time there and all of you should try it out!!

Okay that's all now. Bye!

Gosh..
-

Came across this website, and it showed the face of Michael Jackson thoughout this time in showbiz. Really scary. All of you should totally read it.

http://www.anomalies-unlimited.com/Jackson.html

He must have had at least 50 plastic surgeries. I'm sorry to say this, but his face is really really really screwed up. He finally gave this poor face a break this time.

Out to Velocity!
Went to Velocity with Yiqian, Elsie, Jocelyn and Jocelyn's sister today!

Before going out to meet the 4, I hung the keychain Yiqian gave me to give her face :D

Nice lor! Cow and still got purple bell leh! :D

Anyway, when i was on the train, i read Macbeth. It was hella tiring to read can, with all the weird ancient english phrases and I kept having the look to the other page to find out the meaning, and then I'll forget about what I read about and read it all over again. I must've look like some kinda of idiot who doesn't understand english -.-

Reached Tiong Bahru, met up with the 4. Actually, didn't know Jocelyn's sister was coming along. Went to Velocity via train. Loads of laughing and fooling around.

Reached Novena and went to Velocity! It's really big, and has 2 parts, just like Jurong Point! (but i like Jurong Point more) :D

Wanted to go to Levi's, but that chou Elsie kept complaining that she's hungry, then went to the directory, and there was this

Ahaha Skin Food!!

Went to the food court, called Fork and Spoon. Ordered Kimchi Fried rice and Elsie copied followed me.

Quite expensive, 5 bucks! Okay lah, it's not THAT expensive. It's really yummy! There were lots of kimchi and the egg and kimchi blended really well! And the rice's spiciness was just right. Love it! And that Elsie, dunno how to appreciate kimchi. Hmph D<

(struggling to finish)

Yiqian's apple juice.

Stressed since both me and Yiqian took out our cameras to take pictures of her. Who tell her bully us in the train D<>! Then outside got the photos of BOF -.-

Then went to this Korean shop, and then the instant noodles there is super expensive! The cheapest I shall was 1 packet for $1.70. :O Then there were really strange things like Seasoned Burdocks. -.-"

Went to some other random shops, then went to MPH. There was this toy hammer thing, when you hit something with it there will be really cool sound effects. There was one that will laugh, another will have the sound 'BOING' and a lot. We were really childish and fooled around there, hitting each other LOL. Shopped there for dunno how long. Kept looking at those funky pens and stationery. Super nice!! Bought 3 pens from Pilot.

Love it!!

Then went to Many other shops before going to Adidas store!! There were loads of nice shoes, but they really ought to bring in more designs from Adidas Style D<> ah' or whatever. RAH. Trying on shoes is fun okay!!

Super big aha! :D

Tried on this don't-look-adidas-ish shoes on. It's like high cut sneakers. Super hot, but quite comfortable :)

Went off and headed to some other stalls before landing to this shop which sells a lot of outdoor equipment, like mountain-climbing gear, etc.

There was this really comfy shoes.

It's super comfortable, despite how ugly it looks like. Never judge a book by its cover! When wearing it, it feels really cooling and the material's really flexible. You can go for scuba-diving with it!! And it feels like you're walking barefooted. Really cool. But it's like $169 -.-

Then came across this freaking tent which cost $9 700!! My eyes almost poped out can! It's 2m, which is not out of the ordinary. Wonder why it's so expensive. Maybe it's made for the president or something. But the President Suite in Raffles' Hotel is about $4000 only, hmm.

Saw this really cool outdoor utensil.

Isn't it cool? It's a..

spoon

fork and knife!!

Imagine using it to eat steaks. (can't imagine)

Shopped for awhile more and we left already. Today was another uber fun outing with them.

Okay that's all now!!

p/s/ while i was blogging, there's this nymph (baby cockroach) crawling sneakily into my room, avoiding the light. SUPER SCARED NOW.

p/p/s/ I think Yiqian's gonna steal my photos because she told me to post them. Sneaky Ahlee Baba Char Kway Tiao D<

Michael Jackson passed away!!
OMG!

Michael Jackson passed away at 5.26am this morning!!

Not that I'm a big fan of his, but it's really shocking!!

Read it here: http://news.sg.msn.com/topstories/article.aspx?cp-documentid=3411444

End of the world?
Was scrolling through aimlessly since I was bored, and then I thought of something that Kacey and I have discussed about before, end of the world.

So I went to google, and found out that there are TONS of predictions on how earth will end off. Went to Wikipedia, and saw this:

A New Age interpretation of this transition posits that, during this time, the planet and its inhabitants may undergo a positive physical or spiritual transformation rather than an Armageddon, and that 2012 may mark the beginning of a newer sociopolitical age for the global community.

Various ideas have been advanced concerning a possible end of the world in 2012. One idea involves a geomagnetic reversal (often incorrectly referred to as a polar shift by proponents of this theory), which could be triggered by a massive solar flare, one with energy equal to 100 million atomic bombs. This is supported by evidence that the Earth's magnetic field is weakening, which indicates an impending reversal of the north and south magnetic poles. Scientists believe the Earth is overdue for a geomagnetic reversal, and has been for a long time, even since the time of the Mayans, because the last reversal was 780,000 years ago. Critics, however, claim geomagnetic reversals take up to 5,000 years to complete, and do not start on any particular date. Also, while NASA expects a particularly strong solar maximum sometime between 2010 and 2012, there is no scientific evidence linking a solar maximum to a geomagnetic reversal. A solar maximum would be mostly notable for its effects on satellite and cellular phone communications.

Another apocalyptic idea circulating about 2012, which has existed in various forms since 1995 and has changed dates at least twice since then, is that a large planet, called Nibiru, will collide with or pass by Earth in that year. This idea has been ridiculed by astronomers, who point out that such an object so close to Earth would be visible to anyone looking up at the night sky.

December, 2012 marks the ending of the current baktun cycle of the Mesoamerican Long Count calendar. The Long Count set its "time zero" at a point in the past marking the end of the previous world and the beginning of the current one, which corresponds to either 11 or 13 August 3114 BC in the Gregorian calendar, depending on the formula used.

There are actually a lot more predictions in Wiki, but these are the ones that I picked out which sounds more 'practical'.

Look at the one on A New Age. It's really ridiculous. It's actually indirectly insulting the human beings now! Otherwise, why would earth need a positive physical or spiritual transformation rubbish?

And there's another one which the reversal of the North and South poles will be triggered by a massive solar flare, which will be equivalent to 100 million atomic bombs. This I heard before, but I really wonder why the impact is so powerful. Is it because when it switches, it moves in the middle, affecting everything? Or is it like a powerful whirlwind which turns Earth the other round? I seriously don't know. But it's really scary, considering that the atomic bomb dropped in Japan could wipe out the whole city. 100 million?! Considering that there are 223 countries now, it's like 500, 000 bombs for a country?! Gosh, imagine how horrible it will be.

Another's on the planet, Nibiru coliding into Earth. Nibiru is a planet generally accepted to be Jupiter. That's scary. So does it mean that Dec 21st 2012, Jupiter and Earth will be side by side (literally). As in, there's a space between them, but will it be side by side? You know, the planets revolve around the Sun, and they all revolve at different timings. Does it mean that on that point of time, both will be side by side, and coincidently, something triggered in Jupiter and it shoots towards Earth? That's really really strange..

This is something like what I mean.

In Wiki, they said that Jupiter is 2.5 times the mass of all the other planets put together. And by the kinetic force it gathers before reaching Earth, Earth will confirm be hit out of it's position, and we human beings will die due to the unsuitable weather conditions.

Another's on the Long Count calender would end on 21 Dec 2012, and then everything would end and form a new world. I don't get it. What exactly is the Mesoamerican Long Count calendar, that it has the ability to wipe out everything and form a new world? Is it God's calender? One of God's work? Is it "God's time"? Like, 'Times up!! Everything should end now!' kind of thing?

Can read about it here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mesoamerican_Long_Count_calendar
